Juste Picasso Nduwayo, the young coffee farmer who is changing the coffee game in Burundi
“BSS Bdi is a specialty coffee business whose primary functions are, farming, breeding, acquiring coffee, processing and selling. We also have a washing station named “UMUCO coffee washing station” and both of them are located in #Muruta in the #Kayanza province”, tells us Juste Picasso
Coffee farming is a very sustainable business, connects different countries and is profitable both to the farmers and the country’s economy. This is what motivated Juste Nduwayo, Zephyrin Banzubaze and Jeremie Nakimuhana to start BSS Bdi. As a company in the agribusiness, they face challenges like unpredictable climate change, lack of funds, increasing population which, in turn, decreases the farming land and inconsistent coffee price on the international market.
BSS Bdi is one of the few coffee businesses lesby young people, whereas coffee farming in Burundi has long been considered an old man’s craft. On top of that they farm their own coffee beans with over 32000 coffee trees. They carefully produce their coffee and the one from the 1,200 coffee farmers

to the final product which makes them a very reliable coffee supplier.
Their goal is to become the leading coffee farmer, producer and exporter business in Burundi. They desire a future where the quality of life for coffee farmers is improved to a significant level.
